Terracotta army, appreciated as the 8th wonder of the world, was discovered by chance in 1974 when villagers digging a well and revealed some shards of pottery. They knew their value and wanted to sell them. Seeing these pieces of pottery, an archaeologist and realized they had reported an invaluable cultural department of the county.
Thus were brought to light the figures of soldiers and horses. So far about 500 have been exhumed pottery figures of soldiers, 18 wooden chariots and 100 horses from ceramics. Ceramic figures have a natural height of about 1.80 m, with an authentic expression, embodying high level of art sculpture of the Qin Dynasty. Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty is appreciated and admired by people of the world. Many foreign visitors came to China in particular to visit, former President Ronald Reagan describing it as a great miracle of humanity.
