Saharnas Holy Trinity Monastery Complex
The „Holy Trinity” monastery complex of Saharna is situated in one of the passes near the picturesque village Saharna, 8 km from the district center Rezina and 14 km from the railway station Rabnita in a deep trench on the bank of mountain stream which flows into the river Nistru. It was built by the monk Bartholomew in 1777. Here are two churches belonging to the monastic complex - winter Church of the Assumption and summer Holy Trinity church.
At the beginning of nineteenth century, the old buildings were destroyed, and built of stone, following the same location on terase. Although the monastery was flourishing in the '50s, it was closed by Soviet authorities in 1964. The monastery was reopened in 1991. There is a legend according to which the hermitage was built on the site where one of the monks saw the image of the Saint Maria. When he reached the rock, the monk noticed a footprint imprinted in the stone, which he perceived as a sign that there is saint place. And soon, not far from the rock was built a hermitage. The Saint Maria imprint in the rock has been preserved and is considered one of the most important tourist attractions Saharna. This monastery is the place where the love and life-giving of the Saint Trinity church pours upon all who will visit them in faith.

Here you get real blessing of the Saint Mother. Saharna monastery, the whole ensemble, is one of the oldest monasteries of the Orthodox Church in Moldova content. Not far from the monastery, is parallel path that leads to the cave monastery, there you can find the source of healing water. The water "Wonderland Spring " today, miraculously helps many people, healing the soul and body diseases.
