Mexico

Mexico is a country in North America, south of the United States. With nearly 107 million people, including twenty million in the urban area of its capital, Mexico City, Mexico is the most populous Spanish-speaking country. It is also the third in size and the second in population in Latin America. It is the thirteenth largest economy in the world.

Mexico is a beautiful and diverse country with many things to offer visitors, whether they go to visit the local beaches famous all over the world for hospitality and beauty, or historical cities of pre-Spanish colonization. You will find many archeological sites and rich culture of the Maya civilization, Olmec, Tarascan and Azteca. There are plenty of National Parks which extend from desert to mountain forests. Among the most important places in Mexico are the capital Mexico City and Monterrey, with its beautiful colonial buildings, and Guadalajara. Colonial cities are the following: Oaxaca, Morelia, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Zacatecas and Merida in the Yucatan peninsula, among others.

Mexicans love leisure time and discussions and work will never have the importance that friends and family have. The mother, that gives life, is honored and respected, and children, either those of locals or visitors, are blessed. Country's past seems to live together with the present. In Mexico City, the Square of Three Cultures celebrates the three cultures that have influenced Mexico: Aztec ruins, colonial church of San Diego and several buildings from the late twentieth century. Even the dead are present, at least once a year, in the Day of the Dead, when the living ones bring gifts to the loved ones who are no longer among them and spend the night in their company, remembering good old times.

The place where the Caribbean Sea meets the Yucatan Peninsula, coral reefs come to life due to marine creatures, both big and small. Pacific Coast attracts seals and gray whales, who choose Mexico to breed and give birth year after year. Even in the desert there is life - here grows the agave, tequila mother. The blue plant is greatly used in Acapulco and Cancun, where after a day of surfing, people come to flirt in bars and nightclubs. However, the largest mass of all living creatures in Mexico is located in the capital, where 20 million people (one fifth of the world population) are flocking here to work, have fun, love, die and continue the everyday battle.
