Damme small town is situated on the river Zwin between Zeebrugge and Bruges. River mud has played an important role in increasing or fall Damme's between year 1180 until today. City of Damme, built between 1464-1468, is an excellent example of Gothic architecture. The most famous building still remains Damme church whose tower is three times taller than any building in Dammam. St. John Hospital, founded in 1249, is a museum containing furniture, paintings and religious artifacts from centuries old.
A boat trip from Bruges to Damme lets you admire the most beautiful parts of the city from a completely different angle. The guides offer reviews in several languages. Boats are not covered but offers umbrellas for rainy weather. The journey takes 30 minutes and boarding point is Noorweegse Kaai.
