Tel Aviv is often called “the city that never stops”. It is the first modern Jewish city which was built in Israel. Tel Aviv is considered the best cultural and economical center of the country. The city is situated on the Mediterranean seacoast, and extends beyond the Yarkon River, to the North and the Ayalon River to the East. The majestic city began its famous history in Jaffa, an old city, of about 3,000 years, which lies in the southwest side of Tel Aviv. The current Old City of Jaffa was founded during the Ottoman Empire, including stone houses and narrow streets, which now form the tourist center and the artist’s quarter.

Among the most important attractions in the old part of the city is the Gan HaPisga, which represents a Summit Garden. The Archeological Museum Beit Miriam is one of the most interesting cultural sites in Israel. It boasts a large and rich collection of works of art. Many of them are permanent exhibits in the museum. Almost all the pieces of art have been discovered in this region or in the Mediterranean Sea or in those hundreds of archeological sites. Visitors can admire coins, artifacts, artworks, tools and amazing mosaics here that reflect the unique styles of that period of time. Ben Gurion Museum is dedicated to David Ben Gurion, who was one of the most important politicians and the first prime-minister in the city. Ben Gurion Museum offers to visitors the chance to find out more about the politician’s life and activity. Besides its precious collection of books and art, you can also find documents, photographs and personal objects that remind about his life here. The Bible Museum nowadays is one of the most popular museums in Israel, attracting thousands of visitors each year. Here you can visit a permanent exhibition dedicated to the Bible, art exhibitions, paintings, sculptures and works in ceramic. The museum also houses old examples of Bibles, old translations, documents that depict important researches, followed by the legends and the music of the Bible. Some more amazing museums are the Eretz Museum of Israel, The Hagana Museum, Ilana Goor Museum and the army Museum. These museums are impressive attractions, where guests can find many interesting things about the city’s past and history.

Tel Aviv hosts a wide range of architectural styles, deeply influenced by different schools of architecture. The central part of Tel Aviv is well -known as “The White City”, which includes the largest group of buildings in the world that are built in the International Bauhaus style. Due to this fact, The White City has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This incredible White City runs from Allenby Street to the South till the Yarkon River to the North. It features overwhelming buildings designed in this style on Rothschild Boulevard and in the area of Dizengoff Center.
