  Before the construction of Alaska Highway and the introduction of the state in the Union as the 49th state, the city of Fairbanks was an energetic mining town, situated in the middle of the largest territories of the union. The Italian immigrant Felix Pedro was discovering gold in this place in 1902,  and in 1903 the city was incorporated by a 75% majority vote. This small boomtown, after more than one hundred years became a very important centre, for economy, which was very various, with oil, gas, gold, coal mining, military and tourism.
