Coal Harbour is a very cute place situated between Stanley Park and Canada Place Pier in Vancouver. This is a new neighborhood with pitoresque places that attract visitor’s eyes. This place is lined by a very nice and quite walkway that makes its perfect for residents or for visitors to spend the time with pleasure. This residential area was initially a industrial one with railways that came to the waterfront making the connection between industrial areas and the rest part of Canada. This neighborhood was the home for shipyards, a lumber mill, but after 1985s started to attract some attention,so in 1990 the city of Vancouver decided to make this industrial area into a recreational and residential waterfront neighborhood. It took about 15 years to transform that area into how it looks now.
Coal Harbour includes 23 acres and is the home for vancouver’s Rowing Club that was established in 1899 and gives the opportunity to admire the North Shore Mountains, Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Canada Place, so its residents have a very short distance to the main attractions of the city, and an easy access to the parks or bike trails. Coal Harbour includes a waterfront park that covers about 8 acres, with playgrounds and restaurants making it a very pleasant area for relaxing. This area is now a very nice harbour with beautiful skyscrapers and a lot of green spaces for visitors.in the last years there was added The Convention Centre of Vancouver that will cover over 6 acresfor a living green roof.
This area is perfect for jogging, biking or just for relax. It a cute and peaceful space that gives the opportunity for taking a break and meditate. The best way to explore and admire the area is by walking along Coal Harbour, that includes a paved walkway connected with Canada Place and Stanley Park. This walkway provides the visitors with gorgeous restaurants and bistros near the small parks that you can see while walking. The beauty of the nature will fascinate you and the wonderful skyscrapers that make the area full of enthusiasm and charming will fascinate you as well. The atmosphere is peaceful and the sensation of freedom is everywhere.
