The Pitcairn Islands can be found in the farrest areas of the Pacific Ocean. The location was discovered in 1789 by sailors, who were amazed by the islands spectacular nature and relaxing ambiance. The Pitcairn Islands is a British sea area, but the administrative board is in Auckland, New Zealand. The people who leve in these area are of anglo-tahitean etnicity. There were just 50 people living there in really simple conditions, their main activity was fishing and hunting. Nowadays, the Pitcairn Island’s population is developing the agriculture domain and other specific hobbies as making souvenirs, stamps, greeting cards and also receiving visitors and guests in their quiet and simple life. The only possible way to reach this place is by ocean and such a journey takes 10 days. The Pitcairn Islands is divided in four areas: the Pitcairn Island, the Dukes island, the Henderson island and the Oeno island. The Pitcairn Island is the only populated region in the whole resort. Despite the quiet lifestyle, the population in the Pitcairn island meet in the past some difficulties as: misunderstandings between the native people, crime, diseases.
The islands were officialy found by a researches team in a expedition in the Pacific Ocean. At that moment, in 1960, there were just 10 people. During the time there was establish the Adam’s village, also a school, medical institutions. The town hosts the people’s houses and entertainment institutions. The Square road is the venue for the local citizens. It hosts the Court house, the Church, the museum building, the secretary office, library, post office the health centre. The Pitcairn island is really hospitable and there are nice tourist accomodation and facilities provided by the gretting people. There are a variety of guest houses and hostels, which offer a really fabulous ocean view. The guests hostels are situated near spectacular landscapes in order to create a pleasant ambiance there. The visitors are treated well and the natives are allways glad to receive guests from the modern world. All the visitors are impressed by this tropical island paradise in the south pacific with pleasant climate, fresh fish and local food.
The island provides a variety of activities and attractions for tourists. You can get involved in the natives daily life, to enjoy the silence of those places and to notice the really happy people with all they have. Also, you can visit a fisher spot, to enjoy the accurate nature and landscapes. There are organised maririne trips with locals, where you will explore the rich wildlife, pure water, observe the rare species of birds and plants from the nearest islands. An attractive place in the Pitcairn island is the Christian’s cave, where you can admire the local historical and cultural elements. If you are interested to know better the locals lifestyle, they will gladly host you in their house.
