Santa Lucia extends on 21 km of wide, brilliant sandy beaches bathed by warm crystalline water that is calm most of the time, due to the presence of an extensive coral reef just off the coast. This reef is the longest one of its kind in the western hemisphere and it is home to a surprising diversity of marine life, being a fantastic place for scuba diving and other water sports. You can see the top of this natural beauty easily from the beach, as the waves coming in from the Atlantic break on it. You and your family should feel in complete safety, as the waters here are free of marine species that are dangerous to man.

 

  You will feel like time is flying at Santa Lucia beach, while keeping yourself busy scuba diving and snorkeling at the coral reef, sunning, swimming, playing beach volleyball, windsurfing, pedal boating and practicing other water sports. Visiting the coral reef is a must here. Besides, from Santa Lucía Beach you can go on excursions to the Cubitas Mountains, where you will have the chance to admire over 300 species of lush vegetation.
