The Maltese archipelago lies virtually in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea and consists of three islands - Malta, Gozo and Comino. The latter is inhabited only by a few farmers, but Malta and Gozo have a history of 7,000 years, and artifacts from Neolithic times, copper and bronze. In Mdina admire citadel, one of the finest examples of medieval walled cities. It shows a special interest Norman style Palazzo Falzon. Bastion Square have panoramic images of the surrounding area and the bay of St Paul. Baroque churches in Rabat visit St. Paul, St. Agatha catacombs and Romanian villa. Discover the Blue Grotto, a place which according to legend, the sirens attracted sailors with their songs. Four caves reflect the brilliant colors of minerals from coral and limestone. It is best to visit the Blue Grotto in the early morning, when the sea is calm. Visit the archaeological site near Paola - Tarxien the Neolithic temple, Hypogeum, a complex of burial chambers on three levels dating back 3000 years ago and Ghar Dalam (Cave intinecata), where they found remains of extinct species of birds and animals today. In Malta you can dive deep and surface all year. The best places are caves in the north and the places where the sea depth increases abruptly, and Qawra Point and Cirkewwa. Wied Iz-Zurrieq is a good place for night diving. On Gozo, one of the most spectacular places is Dwejra Point. The best beaches on the north coast is located in Paradise Bay, Golden Bay, Mellieha Bay, Armier Bay and Ghajn Tuffiejha Bay. Il-Qawra is known as an inland sea, with a secluded pool with crystal waters and barren rocks. Relax on the island of Comino, very sparsely populated. The main attractions are a few sandy, and Blue Lagoon. Marija Caves are excellent for diving. Visit typical fishing communities such as Marsaxlokk, Birżebbuġa and Marsac, which stretches along the southern end of Malta golfs.
