Andre Goncalvez the Portuguese discovered Brazil, the beautiful settlement entered into Guanabara Bay, New Year, in 1502. He believed that the payment is a river which he named Rio de Janeiro ("January River").
Steep granite mountains, right near the ocean, between stretches of golden sand, impeccable colonial home nested between modern glass skyscrapers and green forest that overflows the densely populated hills.
It is a vibrating city life, a city of worship for beach soccer, samba and Carnival. Among the "miracles" are offered by the city Brazilian Statue of Christ, Metropolitan Cathedral, Ipanema Beach, Tijuca National Park and famous favelas.
