Thai Shan or Mount Tai is located north of Tai'an city in Shandong Province, China and it is considered one of the five holy mountains of the Taoist religion. In the old belief in China was considered the highest mountain in the world, Chinese monarchs come here to bring heaven and earth sacrifice.
The place is associated with sunrise, birth, and renewal. More than 6 million visitors come here annually. It comprises 22 temples, more than 800 stone tablets and around 1,000 stone inscriptions. The Tai Shan is also considered one of the birthplaces of the Chinese civilization.
