   Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple (Srirangam), situated 6 km north of the city Triky is one of the most complex temples in India, with a series of shrines dedicated to Shiva. Surrounded by a plantation of palm trees, the temple is built on an island Kaveri and covers an area of 2.5 km 2. Surrounded by 6 rectangular wall outside the temple built in 13 century, has 21 gopurams, most of them measuring 73 meters high and is connected to town by a bridge.
