Located in the northern part of Great Britain and centered on the Cumbrian Mountain (978m), the Lake District is famous for the variety and beauty of the landscape. Hydrographic feature of this complex is the distribution of the 14 lake lake glacial valley form radial, diverging as the spokes of a wheel. Windermere Lake is the longest, with 17 km long, and the deepest - Wastwater, with 77.4. 

 
  Lake District is a space for recreation and relaxation for the inhabitants of cities Liverpool, Manchester, Blackburn, Blackpool, Preston, etc.. National Park "Lake District" (2292kmp) is one of the 12 national parks in the UK. Lake District was also a place of inspiration and creativity for many artists, from Thomas Gray (1716-1771), pre-romantic poet, and continuing with today's artists. The region is much sung in the poems of William Wordsworth (1770-1850), who spent part of his youth in Grasmere and in 1810 he published the work of the Guide through the Lakes District.
