Khotyn Castle is one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine and is a popular film star, filmmaker like to use this complex as fortified as the location for their films can be seen in the famous East European film "The Three Musketeers" "Robin Hood's Arrows" and "Ivanhoe."

The fortress is located on the right bank of the Dniester River region Chernovtsy (Chernivtsi Oblast) and occupies a rectangular area of 1219 by 244 meters, and the walls have a height of 40 meters and a thickness of 6 meters.

The area around the castle has seen Khotyn famous war of 1621 when troops joined the Polish and Ukrainian Cossacks led by Cossack Hetman Petro Sahaydachnyi defeated an army of 400 thousand Turkish soldiers, saving Europe from Turkish invasion.

There have been many events and festivals each year in Khotyn fortress, and in these festivals visitors have the opportunity to dress in historical costumes and learn details of medieval history, having also the opportunity to taste the dishes and listen to medieval musicians who sing medieval songs.
