Hohe Tauern National Park is one of the largest nature reserves, the existing five in Austria. It includes the mountain areas of Central Eastern Alps in Austria with mountains of the Hohe Tauern region which lies between the rivers Isel sources, Moll, Mur and the Salzach, the east-west side have a length of 100 km and 40 km north-south . The region is declared a national park in 1981 and has its territory Laender Salzburg (805 km ²), Tyrol (611 km ²) and Carinthia (420 km ²). Falls are popular tourist attractions in Krimm, Valley Falls and Glacier Umbal Innergschlöss near Matrei in Osttirol.
