Australia

Much of the vast "red center" of Australia was softened and included among tourist routes, however the arid areas have not lost its wild appearance. Australia is an island, the largest in the world, encompassing a wide range of landscapes, from deserts to tropical forests and rocky mountains. Isolated from other continents, Australia has an abundance of unique plants and animals, represented by the cute koala bears, kangaroos and emus birds. One of Australia's biggest attractions is the feeling of space and isolation. You can easily find your own beach, your own piece of rainforest or desert. Water sports are extremely popular, especially surfing. The representative image of Australia is Ayers Rock in the middle of the arid land. Indigenous people's life is a major tourist attraction. There's still tension between them and other inhabitants of Australia. The first settlers cruelly treated the Aborigines, which was translated into a racial policy of subsequent administrations. However, in 2007, the road to reconciliation has been shortened by the government's promise to apologize formally. Australia's tourist attractions range from tropical forests and national parks to museums and galleries, and a series of activities. The continent is divided into six states (New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia) and several territories, the most important being the Northern Territory (NT) and Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
