Thalang National Museum is a cultural and an educational facility that is located in the city of Thalang in the western part of the island. It was founded in 1985 in honor of the 200th anniversary of the legendary battle of Thalang people with Burmese invaders. On March 14, 1989 there was a solemn opening of the Museum.
