  Acapulco is a city with a long history. Since 1530 the Spanish built ships on the site, then using them to trade at sea. Ships loaded with luxury goods from Mexico went to the Philippines, where traders from around the world meet to truck. After negotiation, the ships returned to Spain today Acapulco, laden with Chinese silk, spices, ivory, pearls and other gems. These Spanish merchants brought exotic goods to Mexico in the world. 

 

  Today, people all over the world come to Acapulco in search of fun, surf and sun. Acapulco consists of three parts - the first is known as Playa Revolcadero. This area is near the airport, south of Acapulco Bay. Here lies the greatest stretch of beach, along with a tropical lagoon. Here are a few resorts, but more recently constructed buildings. 

 

  The second part is the region of Puerto Marquis. This area is north of Playa Revolcadero, the airport and golf. For many years, this area has been neglected by the explosion of construction in other parts of the city. This was however offset by the recent opening of new resorts. 

 

  The third area of Acapulco is the most popular. Acapulco Bay is among the most beautiful places in the world, thanks to the magnificent landscape - a mountain range forms a natural harbor. This area hosting nearly all leading hotels in Acapulco. Besides hotels and resorts, night life here is very animated, and there are many places for shopping and dining in town. 

 

  Acapulco culinary offerings are virtually unlimited. Besides the authentic Mexican food, you can find dishes from all over the world. United nearby offers fresh fish and other creatures. Many excellent restaurants in Acapulco and offers a superb panorama of the bay. If you want to relax away from the noise and traffic, many resorts will find sandy beaches and hidden isolated. 

 

  For those who have never visited Acapulco, we recommend you visit the Roqueta Island, ideal for relaxing or diving.
