The old city of Barcelona is definitely one of the most beautiful and romantic in Europe. Narrow streets, shops, the air itself invites you to walk through the neighborhood to know every part of this area.
La Rambla is probably the most famous area of Barcelona and with good reason. La Rambla stretches from Plaça de Catalunya to the statue of Columbus, and is filled with newspaper kiosks, flower and animal stalls and all sorts of artists. Is undoubtedly the place where they meet all kinds of people, tourists and locals, a diverse and colorful extravaganza.
A special interest is the attractions that Santa Monica Art Centre, Lyceum (Opera), Miro mosaic or Merca de la Boqueria. The best way to discover the charm of the area is but a simple walk to La Rambla and the surrounding streets.
Although a bit more expensive terraces on La Rambla has a special charm and worth a try. Because it is a fairly crowded when you visit La Rambla should watch out for pickpockets are always present in the area in search of careless tourists.
