Fort-Ross was a former Russian settlement and is now a wooden fortress on the coast of northern California (USA), 80 km north of San Francisco-based Russian-American Company for fishing and fur trade in 1812. In 1841 the Russian-American Company sold its ownership of a large landowner John Sutter. Fort Ross was the southernmost Russian settlement in North America. Today is a historic park in California. The only original structure that has survived to this day, the house of the last Russian commander, Rotchev, announced the object of historical value of national significance. The remaining buildings are reconstructed.
