Látrabjarg is a cap of Iceland and it consists of high sheltering cliffs. Látrabjarg is located in the northwest of Iceland , in the peninsula of Vestfirðir which is one of eight regions of this country, in the municipality of Vesturbyggð . Its coastline consists of cliffs measuring fourteen kilometers in length and a peak up to 440 meters. Stretching along the ocean for 14 miles, the cliffs constitute a place of life for millions of seabirds who nest , including the little Penguin with a population in this website representing 40% of the global population of this species.
Description
The cliffs are full of different birds: gulls and puffins. Deadlocks are totally arrogant, you can approach them quite close. Seagulls are everywhere. Látrabjarg is an ideal place for bird watching different species, who live in colonies of cliffs. Among the feathered variety highlights the impasse that the Icelanders called the "flying fish". This is a bird with a red beak and webbed feet and one of the main symbols of Iceland: see puffins can be on plates, T-shirts, cups and other products sold in souvenir shops. An additional pleasure of watching dead ends is that they, in most cases, absolutely easy respond to approaching people.
