From March to May, the  clouds are gathering over the summit, bringing snow on the top of the peak and rain at its base.

The  period from October to December is not so rainy and very often features storms  pass over the mountain, spreading the rain on their way. The temperatures in this period of the year are not very warm. The real dry season starts  in late June and, in July it is very possible to be cold at night, but usually it  is not cloudy. The months of  August and September are also cool and can include clear days, but very often a cloud brings rain above the forest. The Kilimanjaro summit is absolutely brilliant and the view is a  spectacle  of clouds with high and wonderful mountain peaks appearing  like islands from  the distance.

Kilimanjaro represents the Africa's highest peak and one of the most veritable attractions to see in this country. Kilimanjaro rises through lush rain forests, including  alpine meadows and then goes through  a barren lunar landscape to the twin summits. At a height of about 5895 meters , the panorama from Kilimanjaro is truly fantastic!  The territory that covers the rainforests is the ideal homeland  to some amazing animals, such as eland, the elephant, the buffalo, the rhino, the leopard and the monkeys.


The Mount Kilimanjaro is the veritable crown of Tanzania. With its huge altitude of about 19,340 feet, it is the highest peak in Africa, the highest freestanding mountain in the world as well. On a clear and sunny day this extraordinary massif can be admired from more than 100 miles, and even it is only three degrees below the Equator, the peak of the mountain is always covered by snow and ice.
