The Pyramid of the Sun is one of the largest structures of its kind in Mexico. This huge Pyramid was built on the top of a cave that was founded in 1970. The cave has a length of over 100 yards  and ends in the shape of a four-leaf clover, including four chambers. In ancient Mexico the caves represented passageways to the hidden underworld.

The Pyramid of the Sun at the beautiful  pre-Columbian site of Teotihuacán in the wonderful Valley of Mexico represents an awe-inspiring sight, an overwhelming monument. One of the largest man-made structures in the Americas, the Sun Pyramid stands at 149 meters by 168 meters, these are the sizes of its base. It has a height of about 45 meters. This ancient and miraculous area was believed to be the place where men became gods. Mexican people suggest  that the two pyramids were raisped up in the  honor of the birth of the Sun and Moon gods. The priests used to perform daily rituals from both pyramids in their honors. Just recently a  body of a man was discovered buried in the Moon Pyramid. The man seemed to be buried alive with art, gold and sacrafices for the god. The pyramid relates many interesting stories and seems to keep alive many undiscovered rituals and hiddent legends.
