Maria Avenue
Maria Avenue lies straight up the southern slope of Dictionary Hill, attaining a surveyed grade of 32% located just north of Chestnut Street. This portion of the road appears as paved with concrete, and it is cut off from the section above: the street View leaps straight across the gap, missing out this part of the road. The next block to the east would have been even steeper – Buena Vista Avenue is shown on the street map, but the builders understandably admitted defeat there. The area is a veritable attraction for the adventures’ lovers. It is a perfect spot for those who practice dangerous aports, or exciting sports, and risk all the time. It is very difficult to drive up and down on this strange street, which is beautifully located and has a very interesting position. Sometimes the locals organize some relaxing competitions just to have some fun. The panorama from the top of the street is really stunning, opening the best view of the city. The houses are lined carefully on the road’s edge. During the summer time the street is absolutely incredible, decorated with colorful flowers, that make this place a truly majestic one. Do not miss the opportunity to climb up and down the street, because you will experience some enchanting moments. Maria Avenue is the steepest road in this region, making the region a treasured rarity .
