The Modern Art Museum of Stockholm is placed in the central part of the city, on the Skeppsholmen island. The Museum’s collections presents the modern arts exhibitions from the 20th century till the present time. The perfectly combined modern art works with the works of Picasso, Matisse, Dali ensemble a wonderful ambiance of the best art masterpieces. The Museum’s collections are divided in the Swedish arts and North arts collections. The Modern Art Museum is also called The Moderna Museet. It provides some of the most apreciated art collections of the last centuries, where can be seen the art works evolution during the centuries. Also, in the Modern Museet, the visitors are able to admire the photography presentations that shows the life in the early 1800. The reconstructed Museum’s building was inaugurated in 1998, with the redesigned style by Rafael Moneo.

The most apreciated and impressive exhibitions presented by The Modern Art Museum are : Wounds: Between Democracy and Redemption in Contemporary Art; Utopia and Reality - Swedish Modernism 1900-1960, in 2000; What If - Art on the Verge of Architecture and Design, in 2000 and In Visible Light, in 1998. The Modern Art Museum assisted some particular presentations of the modern local artists as, David Bailey, Vera Nilsson and Rosemarie Trockel. After a reconstruction of the Museum’s building, it was opened fot visitors in 2004. There were made some structural changes in order to facilitate the excursions for the numerous tourists that visit The Modern Art Museum. The Museum’s visitors can be assisted by a hospitable stuff that helps and informs them about the modern art collections and also about the old masterpieces.
The Museum hosts a large Library of Art and a Library of Photography, that presents the time and style evolution of the graphical and modern art. Besides the enormous variety of presentations, spectacular exhibitions, the Museum provides a nice and stylish restaurant for the visitors, a souvenirs shop and a workshop. The Moderna Museet gained its reputable name through the numerous visitors and through the large partnerships with other national and international art museums and galleries. The Modern Arts Museum in Stockholm is considered one of the most repreentatives institutions of contemporary art and fabulous masterpieces in Europe.
