Taronga Zoo is situated on a elevated land along the waterfront which offers a great view over the Sydney Opera House, over the Harbour Bridge. Sydney Taronga Zoo has something to show for whole family and for all ages: there are more than 350 species of animals, and the zoo is home to australian wildlife with a big collection of exotic species of animals.
Taronga Zoo has officialy opened on 7th of october 1916 and includes 21 hectares with over 2600 animals, through it you can fiind more than 2000 rare animals as: Sumatran tiger, Kodiac Bears and a growing family of chimpanzees. There is the home for a large numer of mammals, reptiles and birds. The zoo features guided tours and overnight stay also animals encounters, everyday the zoo opens from 9AM to 5 PM and offers exclusive presentations.
The tourists will love to admire the tigers, giraffes, gorillas and elephants. This zoo is very popular not only for its animals but is also for being an educational center, that organize several programs for conservating the wild animals. Many events are organized to raise funds for conservation programs. It is quite convenient to walk in the zoo due to its popularity and there are a lot of options tor the tourists. Parking spaces are also available for more than 500 cars.
The Taronga Zoo is a very large zoo and offers a lot of cafes or buffets for all the tourists and there are several places for picnic partys so is very hard to decide which part of the zoo has the highest priority. You will have a memorable image in your mind when you will see the kangaroos, storks, koalas or the snakes will captivate your attention all the day.
