The Georgia Aquarium is located in the city of Atlanta, the capital of Georgia, on Pemberton Square. It is the largest aquarium in the world (30 000 m³ to 30 million liters of water). It contains more than 120 000 animals of 500 different species. The building was built with a donation of $ 250 million from Bernard Marcus, founder of Home Depot. It is located north of Centennial Olympic Park near downtown Atlanta.
