  After moving the capital from Amber Palace became the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Palace is an architectural complex that combines elements of Rajput and Mughal art. Only part of the Palace is open to the public - the other is reserved for Maharajah Sawai Man Singh II, descendant of Sawai Jai Singh II, and who is resident in the Chandra Mahal (Moon Palace), composed of seven storey building.

 
  Palace Museum, currently administered by the state, is a vivid picture of the arts and crafts, as well as extremely elaborate court ceremony that characterized the reigns of Rajput kings. The museum is composed of: Textile and Costume Gallery, Art Gallery, Gallery and Gallery of transport weapons, the latter being recently added to the museum complex. Art Gallery includes several invaluable pieces, including the Persian version of the famous Hindu epic Ramayana.
 
  Palace hosts also a miniature school where you can admire the famous work of contemporary artists, distinguished by the highest civilian medals the president of India. The school is sponsored by the Maharajah of Jaipur.
