Miramare Castle was built on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea near Trieste, Italy in the nineteenth century for Austrian Archduke Maximilian and his wife's signature architect Carl Junker.

It is said that this castle who sleeps in at least one night will be part of a brutal death. This legend gave credence to history because in 1864 Archduke Maximilian stopped one night in the castle, on his way to Mexico where she would be crowned, but was shot in 1867. Archduke Ferdinand spent the night before the trip to Sarajevo at the Miramare castle, where he was assassinated, it was the beginning of World War. Amadeo Duke of Austria, one of the owners of the castle, was also assassinated in 1938.
