A symbol of New York as important as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building is one of the highest skyscrapers in the world. Designed by the firm Shreve, Lamb & Harmon Associates, the Empire State Building is built in Art Deco style with a step-shaped silhouette.
The foundation works started in January 22, 1930 and construction has progressed incredibly quickly with 4.5 floors per week. Empire State Building was completed in a period of one year and one month, a record in the field. By 1996, it was the tallest building in world, measuring 381 m, 449m with all antenna, but this record was beaten on several buildings in China, Hong Kong United States, Malaysia, Taiwan and the UAE. Now ranked 12 on the list of tallest buildings in the world.
Completed in the economic crisis, stock market collapse of 1929, 102 floors are struggling to find buyers. For this reason, the building was nicknamed the Empty (blank) State Building. Bizarrely, this name of guaranteeing building commercial exploitation.

On clear days you can see at a distance greater than 100 km, the platform floor 86 is located at more than 320 feet tall. Every year, over 3.5 million people come to admire the scenery.
Empire State Building is, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers, one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
