  Navy Pier is one of the top attraction in Chicago and it is a large pier on Lake Michigan, close to Chicago downtown. It consists of 50-acres of parks, gardens, shops, rides, restaurants and attractions. Anually, it is visited by over eight and half million people. 

 
  Navy Pier was built in 1916 and then renovated in the 1990’s, the total costs exceeding $200 million. At the Navy Pier you can ride the 15-story tall McDonald’s Ferris Wheel, take a ride at the high musical carousel with 36 hand-painted animals, visit Chicago Children’s Museum or see a movie at the IMAX Theatre.
