  Political tensions and the large differences between social classes are the main reasons why the crime rate is very high in Venezuela.

 
  This increased by 67% in 1999, the year Chavez took power. People are so corrupt law, that are unable to maintain public order, police are themselves criminals dressed in uniform. All these things have brought civilians to the point where they are right with your own hands. Stupid reasons people are shot, and considered insulting or threatening glances. In Venezuela it is recorded an average of 5 crimes per day, in a country with only 26 million.
