Built in Renaissance style by King Christian IV, the station's summer residence, Rosenborg Castle currently houses a museum, here are kept the Crown Jewels. The 24 rooms of the building are arranged chronologically, contains furniture and portraits of each monarch, from Christian IV to Frederik and VII. Opulent collection of jewelry on display here include crown of King Christian IV and adorned with precious sword of king Christian III, who are pearls and emeralds join Queen Margrethe II, when the sovereign no wear to dinners official. These gems are included in the Danish national heritage, so kings is not allowed to take with him when he travels outside Denmark.
